Well that was a busier Christmas Eve than I was planning.

First a leylandii up by the root plate.

Then a fallen ivy-covered dead larch

The, in the dark, installing a rod brace in a willow that had split down a weak union.

Now I will be going out to try and find a garage open so as to buy a present for my wife.

dealt with 14 trees today , i put the tack in for the horse but was able to barrow a backhoe so did it in 3 hours,

 

when a machine is bust you do miss them as our backhoe has had it

The cars underneath the conifer were fine but there is a hole in the roof and dormer window. No-one hurt as someone was asleep in the dormer room.

Got called out to this Rowan this afternoon for the firm I work for, completely rotten at the roots, took the corner of the roof, the gutter and the tv aerial off the neighbouring property
