And there was me feeling smug at turning a 17" bowl this morning, yours blows mine away 👍

Got a really nice elm burr on the lathe atm, just having a coffee whilst the sanding sealer dries, will post a photo once I get a bit of finish o it.

Finished the elm burr (3 coats of chestnut spray gloss lacquer)

Just under 8 inches at the widest

I have also just turned a few big bowls , ( 18" dia , 8" deep ) Ash mostly and some hollow forms from Ash , some have been scorched and other surface treatments , and another hollow form is spalted in a nice way which is not common with Ash .
