First bowl in ages. My wife asked for a ring of somebody's logs on Facebook so I could make a cake stand but it was too small. Split it and chucked it on the lathe today and whatever it was turned very nicely. Still very green but I've turned it to finish. It's had a coat of danish. Bonus points I f anyone can ID the timber haha

I'll take a couple of pics of the other half of the ring tomorrow see if it helps anyone. Unfortunately I never had the chance to see any foliage
