I run digga, augertorque are also good. 
 

Unless you are on really good ground, I’d spec to towards the top end of the larger machines flow rate and just accept that it will be slow on the smaller machine. At least it’ll have the torque to finish the hole that way. 
 

im about to buy a slightly smaller head that will be optimum for the Sherpa and the e10, but so far the pdx2 has been a good match from e10 to e27. You probably want the one down from that.

 

It certainly earnt its money this morning!

I have had a Auger torque 3500max start off on loader tractor then got put on Tobroco giant which it is not the best machine for it but can get in some tight places, recently it's been on Hanix 1.5 digger and great setup. 

If you ring Auger torque uk they should be able to tell you which one suits your 2 machines just tell them flow rate on both.

I brought a digga that I have set up to run on both  my micro and avant. 

It's great on the avant, fast, and can reverse. Slow on the micro and no reverse,  but i have yet to get it stuck!

Latest toy on its second job.(hitachi Zaxis 30

long back garden with some hefty ash to come out.

only 2 inches to spare getting in gate at tight right angle.

brash out front, timber out back to cul de sac surrounded by cranky ladies.

would have been a tough one without mini digger.

I don't like to piss on anyone's chips regarding using diggers for arb work, as I'm a huge fan. But what am I missing? Why on earth didn't you park the chipper under the tree?

Chip has to be removed.

cul de sac at back has , cranky ladies,French tree huggers, guesthouse,

city council parking spaces, powerline ,fancy wall, 4 feet higher than site

We have to stack the timber back there with mini digger and reach in with tractor/crane Saturday morning when cul de sac is quiet .

This way, 2 lads are climbing steadily and rigging where necessary.

digger is keeping drop zones clear ,

chipper noise is at clients house and not beside cranky ladies.

each crew member working nice and steady and hydraulics doing the heavy dragging and lifting.

Each to their own. Personally I like to avoid the trail of bits and pieces leading to the chipper as much as possible, especially with stuff like ash- I'd have chipped into a couple of ton bags or even a big bulking bucket and carried it out if the only lift was a digger. I also have no problem telling neighbours who complain about noise where to stick it 🤣

Have been thinking of making a chip bin to put on my little loader to get chips out of garden, would probably be less trips back and forth then grabbing brash and carrying it to chipper.

It’s so much easier. I reckon even with just a mini chipper and loader the average (back) garden tree removal is more efficient. 
 

Im a total convert, especially for things like bramble etc growing up in the tree. Just feed it straight into the hopper. You really notice (or rather don’t) the lack of mess from the drag too.
