The dealer did for me FOC as the company was coming in to do another 1 going out to a new customer.  Great dealing with an independent dealer, makes decisions on the spot, handshake and job done.  I’ve not even paid for 60% of it yet and I’ve been earning all day today!?

Has anyone seen the Huddig before, they look like a brilliant bit of kit.

 

No intention of getting one ( couldn’t afford it anyway) but thought others might like to see it.

That’s. Couple of hundred grand right there!

  I remember watching a demo of 1 at the APF years ago!

  The hiab basket was amazing, collapsible basket, fully remote controlled.  The guy held a pole in place with back actor and grab, got out, remote controlled the basket out, got in and went easy 45’ straight out on the smallest hiab I’d ever seen, then put it all away and drove it about and started digging from leaning against a tree 30’ away!  Amazing!  I think you would need to be a bit of a Harrier Jump jet pilot to get the most out of it ?

Not surprised by the price i knew it would be expensive. I can imagine it would take a lot of practice to get the full potential out of it.

I was lucky enough to have a go on one out in Sweden, nothing I’ve ever used comes close to the feel and precision of the hydraulics in them.

Absolute powerhouse of a thing.

 

To get as good as this guy could take more than a few shifts!

Who makes the hydraulic components for Huddig then, that makes them more precise?

Anyway he sure bes a quare slick operator!

Any idea why they replace the concrete sleepers, do the steel chairs wear out, or is it simply  preventitive maintenance based on the design life of the concrete?

Mind you doing that for a full shift would be beyond monotonous, so guessing they are on piece work..

I believe it’s all Parker Hydraulics, mini Joysticks and a real trick setup.

Absolute fingertip stuff, effortless.

 

However if you’re a bit bored just get out for a stroll and do it all Radio Remote, and if it’s lunchtime just knock a sandwich up whilst you’re at it!?
