Guess this is as good a place as any to put this.

Clearing infected trees on the Canal du Midi.

All the wood is burnt in situ to prevent more infection, nice machines.

We go on holiday down there often, it's a real shame.

:thumbup1:

That is pure big kit porn!

Good to see the removal being taken so seriously and professionally completed. Notwithstanding the loss of the trees, it's good to see the measures to prevent spreading the infection.

What's the infection Mick?

Good bonfire and very thorough looking job.

It has been in the workshop a while but finally got out on site to test with the new toys.

Has had external guarding inc removable screed guards front and rear, Intermercato grapple saw with separate solenoid controlled valve block and suregrip controls, new pipework down the boom etc. Few issues need sorting out with the saw but on the whole pleased with how it has been performing after its modifications.

Sorry Sprucester, didn't see the post. The link explains it.

Thanks for posting the link Mick! Ties in nicely with the assignment we picked up on Monday. Will make for a great reference and as the starting point for further investigation/ reading.

I went to cast an eye over my new Liebherr machine today and he's ready to go apart from another attachment that's on it's way.

It's joining the "Wide Boy" Kubota and should make for a pretty efficient setup.

Loads of details and firsts in terms of setup on it, and really looking forward to putting it to work.

Here's the "Big Feller"
