Depends what the main type of work is. If it's all gonna be garden work it'll be different to if you are going to be contracting out on bigger jobs/ trees.

Between 2 of us we have

200t x 2

362 x 2

372xp (25")

660 (25/36")

395

880 (36")

But if I had to choose 4 I'd say

200t

362

660

880

Assuming we are talking about brand new currently available saws I'd go for T540xp, 560xpg (heated handles DO rock!) and MS661 (hoping it would be as good as the awesome 660).

That's it. Just 3.

I'd blow the rest on Stella and red wine.

Just bought a 661...... Will do a write up after its run in!

If you're just starting out and you need business, equipment, tech or training support you're in the right place.  If you've done it, made it, got a van load of oily t-shirts and have decided to give something back by sharing your knowledge or wisdom,  then you're welcome too.
If you would like to contribute to making this industry more effective and safe then welcome.
Just like a living tree, it'll always be a work in progress.
Please have a look around, sign up, share and contribute the best you have.
