Shed loads here, but you've left it too late in the year

Too late in the year for what ?......sloes picked now (we have had a frost) will make excellent sloe Gin for this Christmas.

Just made 2 bottles, strange year this year. Seems to be nothing nothing nothing on the usual bushes then you come across one that's loaded with sloes. I like the idea of stoning the sloes after you've drunk the gin and dipping them in chocolate. My father in law fills the nearly empty bottle (with sloes) with proper cider-highly recommended.

I've always left it till after the first frosts, god nos when that will be this year,so mild.

You don't need to leave them until after the first frost (I just prefer to). Pick them and stick them in the freezer.
