What's Your Priority with Boots?

Supple, comfort, decent arch protection. Interested in Fortecs point about feeding the boots, I do mine religiously, yet they last no longer whether treated or not. I could not return to the clown boots that were the only choice a few years back, I'm on my feet all day, dry warm feet make me happy, comfy boots make me smile. Its surprising how many tolerate bad footwear, and cause all sorts of physical damage to their bodies.

Good points Andy your feet are your foundation!, also agree with Jason.

For me I like a well formed footbed with good arch support a firm'ish low profile sole unit with good flex at the front and heel shock absorbtion. A high qaulity leather upper made from good qaulity! durable! leather not to thick though, the upper ideally should be made from one piece with minimal stitching, lace up to as near the toes as possible to give a nice tight fit, plus a rubber rand,.

The boots should be firm and supportive yet with a little suppleness so they last yet comfortable.

The best performing boots will last the least amount of time and visa versa. Like F1 tyres. Mclaren don't go for longer lasting rubber because its gonads, instead they opt for the best for the job. I'm in agreement with this as translated to footwear. (I can do this). The same can be said of almost every aspect of my life. Although choice of woman, tends to follow this vaguely, you can find one who top out at 10 and stay the distance too.

What am I talking about?

I want a boot that grips the tree bark well. dont crunch up when in a folk. where the inside heel dont wear out within weeks.

Light weight but strong they should last 12 months at least

Imo the haix etreame are what i would say is the boot for me and although i think 200+ is alot like has been said for the use they get they are worth it.
