There is no lottery unless you are trying to get a bargain. You get what you pay for. If I load my 2cu metre body with logs you get 2 cu metres of loose logs. Those 2 cu metre crates in the pic turn in to around 3 cu metres when loose.

If he advertised 0.7 cube of logs that is what you should get

 

If he advertised a 0.7 cu/m builders bag full of split Logs, that is what you get.

Its easily sorted I sell by the IBC container which is 1.2m3 loose fill equivalent 1m3 stacked. Because it has solid sides quantities do not vary like with the bulging builders bag which varies depending whether or not it has been shaken whilst being filled.

We sell our logs at £50 for 250 logs , £100 for 500 logs . Mixed hard and softwood . All these loads are accurate to about 10 logs either way . We have bays set up which hold our smallest load of 250 logs . I have found new customers understand x amount of logs better than they do the cubic metre . Please bear in mind our logs come from Tree Work which is our main income and we do not buy in timber . All I want out of my log sales is my yard rent paid and a couple of holidays per year .
