Awesome thanks, some good info there to consider, yeah I was thinkin of putting a van vault near the back, but would be a bit of a faff when it was full of chip, otherwise put a few loops for a chain to run through. I thought they would be quite reliable, at least the older models. Looking at a 03 plate at the moment

There is a certain model to get the early ones are too old and some of the later ones are bad news. Not sure which but someone will know on here. Apparently you can tell a good one from the style of the mirrors ? We had a £2000 cabstar if I bought another it would be 5k plus as you will spend 3k very quickly on a wreck.

Hold on, you forgot autumn time, those wet leaves are a real show stopper.

 

Seriously if you only do urban work they are a cracking truck, particularly for manouvering being flat fronted unlike trannies/ldvs.

I had one as my first truck- was really reliable and great for small jobs, when I moved back to Devon I soon realised a cab star was going to be as much use as a chocolate teapot for the work sites round here!
