well if it helps i find mine perfectly acceptable and they last pretty well , the plastic cards were great but the new style cards are just as good , as an assessor i have to show my assessors ID for every assessment that i do and they seem to stand up to that . honestly i cant see what the problem is or what makes a plastic card any better lol

another interesting twist would be to see who actually has ever updated their picture !! im embarrassed to say that mine is the same picture at the age of thirty as it was at 17 lmao every time i look at it i wonder where the years have gone and the even bigger question is where id my hair go and where are the grey ones from lol

I've tried to update my picture 3 times!!! Every time I go to the trouble to get a photo taken, remember to take it with me, and it still comes back with the same photo as before!

 

Laminate the card and keep it in a wee card wallet and they stay fresh, but that could also be cause it almost never sees the light of day. Been asked for copies of certificates on numerous occasions, but never been asked to show the card.

Mines still on the certificate. Because I get asked to show it soooo many times.

 

Mines still in a draw somewhere & is the old school plastic type...the new one sound like a cost cutting exercise..

yes i understand that they will never see the light of day and i know my old man since hes been doing it 35 years and i think he has show his like twice but after spending a long time doing all my chainsaw and climbing qualifications and spending a few quid on it all blar blar would of been nice to have a decent ID card anyways it is what it is nice easy day stump grinding tomorrow am sure i will get over it

Mine got stolen with my wallet back in 2004 . Never ever needed them .....

i have a new style card in my wallet. the ink has mostly come off now and that is less than a year ago since i did my last assessment
