I know some people say not to run in new chainsaws and others say to take it easy for the first few tankfulls. But what about new hedge cutters i suppose its the same principle? although most of the time you use them at full chat anyway??

Just a thought as i've just brought a nice new stihl hs 81t and want it to last a while...!

Andy is correct, the Huskys rev out at around 11 - 12.5Krpm and the Stihls at around 9.5Krpm.

But of course the Stihls are far superior machines aren't they Rich as are all Stihl machines - reckon you have been assimilated by Stihl bud:001_rolleyes::lol:

Reckon you should sleep with your head wrapped in silver foil, it will make the bad thoughts go away:thumbup::lol:

Oh, for the record - I am running Echo on the long reach and hedge trimmers - any views on those, guess Stihl are better:001_tt2::001_tt2::001_tt2:
