Crazy prices

Fair point but most of what we sell comes off the farm hedgerows so not sure what that should be classed as.

Hard to argue that, in your case, it would be Farming :001_smile:

I would have thought it would be hard to say it is farming or forestry for those buying in artic loads and processing in a yard and distributing their goods for sale in a sign written truck. Whether the cord was arb arisings or forestry would be irrelevant?

I have just browsed through this thread and its become apparent I am underselling timber from our forestry and land clearance work. Its not suitable for a processor but they are still 30ton loads.I sell a mixed truck load of oak,ash birch or beech for about £650 delivered. I normally run out a dozen or so loads a month and I have got them screaming at me for timber.

Where abouts are you???

Guildford Surrey but our work takes us all over the place. The trailer has a crane on it so the front takes sticks between 12` to 15` and the back takes 20` ish . The tipper that goes with same truck holds about 80 cubic meters if heaped up and we sell all the rings / short bits by the load for the same money. Some people prefer the tipper load.

If anyone wants wood pm me your details and I will put you in the book .If you are near anything I am doing you can have first shout, the last thing I want to do is haul this stuff back to the yard. We are clearing a monster of a job near Jct 25 of the M25 at the end of the month. There is a lot of Ash and Oak in there so the same applies let me know.
