I don't get why people blow on about it being the price it is. The 201 ain't great so if the 540 is better the surely its worth a few quid more, any equipment you buy is tax deductable so if its £10 dearer then that's £10 less tax you pay. If it was £10 cheaper that £10 will get taxed. Buy what you need to do your job and within reason don't worry about the price difference unless a big saving can be made. I know someone who as willing to drive to get a 150 to save a tenner but it would cost £15 in fuel to get there.

Hi All

I've had 3 come in I'll be doing them the same price as Honeys.

1 x 12" £466.67 + VAT

2 x 14" £479.99 + VAT each

I'm not putting them on the website yet as I'm not sure when the next ones will be in. So on a first come basis.

It's not £10 less tax you pay, it's the tax on £10 profit you don't pay mate.

we tested some of the 540xps - i hope they have fixed a few things on em as all 6 saws went down after 3 months and all suffered niggling breakages and damages before they gave up the ghost...........they should have got a ms200t and painted it orange then there would be no issue. Me im gonna hold on for another 6months - i'm sure a bucket load of returned saws will soon get them fixing all the problems they should have.

Well i have been using my t540 for the last month and i can assure you that the saw comes alive after 1015 tanks of fuel , the saw is well balanced with bag loads of power and some innovative features suck as a built in ring to clip your saw up short between cuts , sprung on/off switch and sensibly place choke/half choke switch , the molded hand grips are also gret and really help to make the saw a personal piece of kit , i paid £545 in vat and believe me it is worth every penny !! that being said it was at a reduced price due to the 2 years i had had it on order for !!!
