Need a new brushcutter, recommendations?

I've just replaced my husqvarna 232r with a Kawasaki kbh35b and so far I'm more than happy, ok it's not going to match the bigger stihl or husqvarna offerings for power but it is noticeably lighter and if your going to be using it for large areas the weight saving is quite nice

Most councils and contractors are now on FS460's. Very few if any round here use Husky. Only thing to remember with a 460 is dont have too much cord out, it confuses the M tronic, so dont take guard off. We usually find a Stihl will make a £100 premium when sold as used compared to a Husky

 

Saw a team of blokes doing the church and they had all moved over to Husqvarna 545 . Don't know if they were council or private contractors

FS460 for me,what a beast of a machine.

Cleared an acre of 6' high brambles and brush using the shredder blade,never missed a beat.

Shredder blade smashes it to bits right down to the roots.

I run it with stihl 3 mm line when using the 2 line head,seems to last ages on a full head.
