Whats your oldest working saw?

Husky 181se 1983 not in daily use but always starts,just put a new 28 " bar on. Mostly used for ringng up big stuff.

 

That just beats mine - I have a 1985 181se. Mine's still fairly fit as it got a NOS genuine barrel and piston a year or so ago plus new crank bearings and seals. Only ran it with a 20" so far though.

 

Got a 1989 Husky 42 with grey top cover that still works OK, an early 90's 242g that works OK and a late 90's Jonsered 2159.

 

Everything else is at least into the 2000's even if not by much.

Is the thread title meant to mean the oldest saw that physically runs, or oldest saw that goes out and works for a living?

 

It doesn't make any difference in my case, don't know if it does for anyone else.

Not sure on the year, and have posted it on here before. Gave the points a clean and adjust, fresh fuel in it and it goes first pull every time. I don't use it much at all and do not intend on doing so. It weighs just under 12kg and vibrates so much its not even funny.

 

 

How does that compare to a Fender precision for weight ??

Stihl 028 AV Super, 1986/87 in fairly regular use apart from bars chains and plugs, its only needed the top av mount which gave out the other week, think from the noise its making it is getting ready for a new clutch at last
