yeah fair point, ive always taken cash in hand to mean no strings/no tax payment, which ive no problem with personally,but its probably not the best place to discuss it?

Surely they need to know wether your putting the payment through your books and you will ask them for an invoice, if not you are avoiding tax just as they are.

National minimum wage is 5.03 for 18-20 and 6.30 for 21+ so for 8 hour day you should be looking at at least 40 or 50 a day to meet your legal obligation to pay minimum wage or above.
