Was working near Pilton today - not going to the festival though, got a spare ticket? :D

I was working on a shut down just south of north wooton tuesday, literally a stones throw from the festival. Can't of been far from you Alex!

Hey hold on, back the truck up a bit, I don't hate Glastonbury or the people who go or anything like that, lot's of my friends go/have gone. I just cannot bear chemical toilets!

(or other people, or noise, or burger vans................)

I'm with you there. I won't even go camping anymore because I want a decent bed and a proper toilet and hot shower. Maybe I'm a snob but I like my home comforts ta. If I could bring my lazy boy then head home with it at the end of the day, well, then maybe.

did silverstone a couple of yrs ago,,was a good crack,

For the record,,,there are good showers, wood fuelled and piping hot, my yurt has a delux double airbed, and we take our own toilets,,,once you`ve done these things a few times you get with the program, we even have a schedule for the cider run,,,

we make a huge kitchen dinning area and chill with our nice neighbours from cornwall, who happen to be women ,making funky jewerly,,,i sleep better than home(cider helps) and love meeting all sorts of interesting bods,,,, its like barter town from madmax,,,

There are proper flushing bogs at the top of the hill by the farmhouse for those that don't like the chemicals or long drops, not a bad place to camp either, great views from the right spot just a bit of a trek to the crafty end if memory serves right.

My glasto days are over unless the mrs gets her way, takes me a week to recover and the last time we didn't even camp, hiring in a 6 berth camper isnt quite in the spirit but it was nice to stumble back to.:thumbup1:

Oh really? We were working on an HV shut down right near there.

You wouldn't happen to be the hi-line subby Marc who i've been working with for the last couple of days? (Working next to the mast on Wednesday) Now that would be funny.
