Tell me about it!! The Ford 7840 cost me £150 plus vat for some corroded wires. The Manitue needs a new ram and now the 785xl nash needs an injector pump!! I have an 028 and a ms390 in bits and im using a ms211 toy saw and a 048av dinosaur that weighs a bloody ton to pay the bills!! It's all bloody money at the moment:sneaky2::thumbdown:

Yep all money! just spent £800 on it getting it fully serviced, pads, discs wheel bearings ect... 4 miles down the road and the cam had seized in the head. Run without or not enough oil when he was doing a service 2 other garages think! £1500 rebuild needed. Not what we needed this time of year :( lets just say im going to fight like crazy to get that money back!

After a month of blinding good weather, allowing me to access the Moss, plus having finally taken delivery of my latest toy.(Crawler Fiat)

Ah bin too busy cutting sticks to be on here.

Marcus

PS

The Jackdaws fill, or attempt to fill leastwise, the log boiler SS flue between my daily firings.

They are keen!

I might actually strap a few lengths of 9" Twin wall alongside my flue to give them a proper home.

Photos to follow.

This makes my blood boil. In a similar position with my MB Trac you expect the Unimog experts to do a professional job but when they changed my clutch they forgot to tighten up the engine sump plug. First long journey and the plug dropped out dropping the oil and doing the damage. Tackled the unimog dealer who denies liability saying that he did not drop the oil when he took the engine out. Fortunately I recovered the sump plug which clearly shows the specialist tool had been used in the sump plug. Totally agree with you Ash fight your corner and I wish you the best of luck. Trading standards have been excellent for us but it is still going to take legal action to recover the cost of a replacement engine which you dont expect from a "reputable" unimog dealer. In the meantime anyone know of a good 6 cyl OM352 engine for sale at the moment cheapest option is a Merc short engine for £4800.
