Stihl MS 460 Chainsaw | eBay

I do hope no one buys it.

checking Stihls web site the RRP is about £900 so this will be a real bargain for the buyer.

You'd have thought that 'checking Stihls web site' [sic] would have maybe alerted him to the fact that what he had in his hands was not only 'not a hedgetrimmer' but also, not a Stihl... :001_huh::001_rolleyes::lol:

These people play on other peoples ignorance, i know nothing about good or bad sewing machines as an example, so if i wanted to buy one i,m open for being ripped off.

Husqvarna actually make sewing machines - guess you'd go for one of those as Stihl don't do them.

Arbtalk should organise a public service announcement to warn Joe Blogs of the total rubbish on eBay. I suppose it's a danger in any field that you aren't an professional in, but it pains me to see folk paying over the odds by so much.

Can you hang on for a few days just got to unload a container

Exactly what I was thinking. it's easy for us, knowing chainsaws, to understand the differences between a good and bad saw and between a legit one and a knock off, and even then there are a couple of guys who have posted on AT who have a couple of the knock offs and reckon they're OK for what they are and the price paid. Even doing some research before hand it's still difficult to tell what's good and what's not.

And we have a Husky sewing machine (or the wife does) and it's been nothing but trouble since we got it, despite it being more expensive than a Brother etc with similar features. I brought it because it was Husky so i thought it would be good. Constantly back in the shop being repaired.
