Just off google images mate.

Had a wierd email offering me 250 ton of beech near cleveland bristol today; all cut to 4-5 ft lengths :001_rolleyes::laugh1: I've replied saying it's useless in those lengths but wonder if it's a scam...

That's probably why they've got so much for sale - sat it all at roadside and can't find anyone who can haul it without it falling through the pins

So how many loose cube would a lorry load like that make up and how wide are they as I am considering getting a lorry right in instead offloading over the hedge.

Thanks again

Mate of mine couldn't get artic round to the back of his yard,so he got the driver to grapple it from the street right into his front garden.

That gave the locals something to chunter about for a while.

How much deck space is needed roughly for an artic load to be off loaded over a hedge & the cord stacked up?

A strip say 3m wide & 12m long or something?

Am thinking of felling some trees to create the the room for it but like the trees so wanna keep as many as possible...

I priced a job where a couple of guys had gone daft round the woodland strip along a golf course, must have been 30-40t easy, mainly scots, but the nuggets had every thing cut into 3ft lengths.

Before we had a log deck we used to cut to 4ft so we could lift it all day. I would imagine its been forwarded behind a quad due to access. Could be ideal for someone near by with a big grain trailer.
