Tennis elbow

I have not long been diagnosed with tennis elbow and I have to admit its not nice even to the point where it keeps me awake at night , the doctor prescribed naproxen and 2 weeks complete rest but it's only day 2 and I'm going stir crazy I'm also waiting to have a steroid injection ... Any remedies or do,s and donts you lot could advise , cheers .

I developed this really badly late last year and couldn't even pick up a glass of water.

 

Desertrat from here suggested a tennis elbow strap:

I didn't want to pay that much, so went to the poundshop and bought a knee strap (elastic with velcro end) for £1.

 

I feel your pain. It has taken me nearly 3 months to get my arm sorted. Still not 100% but the strap really helps. More than I thought it would. Best £1 I ever spent!

tried one of these and it cleared it up within a week :thumbup:

 

tennis elbow usually goes hand in hand with climbing on a prussik without a cambium saver!...I switched to a ropeguide and lockjack years ago and I don't suffer injuries like this anymore. A lighter pruning saw can make a hell of a difference too...you need to change whatever work practice is causing you the injury mate
