Ultimately it will do its job that's what it was designed to do.. What I was wondering was its practicality in the above scenarios as I know there are a lot of freelancers that would benefit from it and other devices that work similar. The current impression I get is that it works in every situation as there is so much reference to its Prussik like characteristics.

If its so Prussik like then it will work everywhere, if I was freelance still then without a doubt, but on the smaller street trees it's hard pushed to beat a Prussik as its about climbing more so then sitting on the rope on the street trees as opposed to using the rope to climb the tree?

I would like to add one to the collection, but if it's not gonna work on the streets then there is no need for me to get one just yet I'll stick to me hitches and sj ...

WARNING IMPORTANT! ACCIDENT WITH ZIGZAG!!

Today 15:22 am by HOLGER

I just received the message that a crash related to the PETZL ZIGZAG has occurred!

Thomas Bohl, head of the FSB Oerrel was a few hours ago called directly from the victim ... so it's not a rumor!

The climber, an employee of the city of Celle with its brand new ZIGZAG crashed from 5 meters because the TOP GOLDEN attachment loop is broken ... so free fall!

The climbers it goes under the circumstances .... seriously injured but he is not sure in medical treatment.

Is exactly clear up the situation, one should refrain from using the device ... that also please give out to all the users of which you know that they use the best ZIGZAG ... immediately!

Used mine on Sat for a large Willow thinning and it worked a charm! Started self tending about 20ft so was able to climb hand over hand, what a difference that made!! I had a look at the gold attachment point and there isn't any sign of wear on mine. Best bit of kit ever IMO.
