Bear with me on this one fellas, and try to be sympathetic with your criticism.

 

I had read recently of a new technique for removal of branches.

 

It's called something like Natural Target Pruning or Shigo cuts, something weird like that.

Not being afraid of trying something new, I talked the team round and got them to de-school themselves of the age old, tried and tested techniques of Fracturing and Monolithing.

 

We also had to learn a new access style, moving away from the safety of MEWPs to pushing the boundaries with new fangled ropes and harnesses.

What ever next I hear you scoff !

 

After 2/3 mins of practice we felt confident to give it a go.

 

 

 

With more practice I think we could crack it and help move the industry forward kicking and screaming in to the 21st century.

Leaving much more of the canopy than we were used to, I think the results aren't too bad.

 

Note the nice neat cuts on the brash in the van.

Looks odd don't it.

If you want to move light years ahead, try using those new thangled things I think there called "chainsaws" Oh and the very new "chipper!":001_tongue:

Nice work there David. Was that you in the tree? If so good recovery with the knee.

 

Continue to be out of the game with knee alas.

Still sans crutch. :sad:

This reduc was actually the back end of last November.
