Just told a couple of Irish 'travelling salesmen' to go forth and multiply when offered chainsaws and generators for sale. They werent very happy and gave me a mouthful of abuse.

I am based in Glenrothes in Fife so no doubt they are travelling over the east coast of Scotland just now in a newish Range Rover. They are both very well dressed and probably will sell a few to the gullible - which doesnt include me!

Didnt get a chance to see what they were offering but no doubt fakes or boxes of bricks.

looks like they have been moving from south to north as we had them round Hampshire couple weeks back.

yep,,t......ers where here last week,,,took there number plate and forwarded them on to our local constable,,,,,made local news,,,,that could have been my kit,,,

In 2010 we had an Irish chap in silver Range Rover sport stop at our old yard in central Brittany and offer generators for sale.

I was in the house at the time but my groundies wife chased him off with a flea in his ear.

 

Just to add, I watched some horrible programme recently called My Big Gypsy Valentine where a local priest called a convicted traveller thief a "lovable rogue"

This "Lovable Rogue" laughed off his thieving on camera!

All that chintzy tat they surround themselves with, paid for with what...?

Unofficial used chipper dealers...?
