550xp or 560xp?

As I have had my saw robbed, I need a new one, but can't decide which to get. Any preference? How does each perform? Are they much faster than a 346? I will run on 15 regardless of the saw, but was wondering if the 560 is worth the extra £50-100, or if the 550 will blitz enough

I have a 560 and run an 18" but have run it with a 15" it is a stonker . likewise the 550 . 550 is more nimble than the outgoing 346 and way faster . Fantastic snedding saw . Tough decision !

I know, and then the next question is heated handles or not?

HI JON on what chain are you running on 550 thanks jon

The semi chisel chain that it came supplied with Jon. I much prefer semi chisel really (more durable for forestry work - one sharpen a day is all that's required. Even then, it's perfectly sharp when it gets sharpened again) and I'm deeply intolerant of a blunt chain (hundreds of hours of chainsawmilling will do that to a man). Might try it with a full chisel at some point though.

Very impressed with my 550xpg, the pick up speed is immense and i haven't managed to bog it down in anything yet, just keeps ploughing through - amazing torque!

Exactly! And with a 13" bar it's outrageously quick snedding.
