there is no trepass law in scotland you can walk anywhere, but u can still be prosectued for any damage you do

It might be an idea Adam to gain permission to climb the the biggest trees if you could organise something like the 3 peaks challenge ,ie climb three off the biggest in a day and raise money for a given charity. Most people wouldn't refuse I would have thought. Just an idea

I would love to be involved but it would have to be earlier in the year for me.

So had a ponder though the web this afternoons dinner and was looking at some of the spruces there! They are the uk's tallest tree some reaching over 60m, so thought I would try an organise a road trip late summer time travelling down one Friday/ climbing Saturday/ and drive back Sunday!

I know its going to be a long haul for some but if we could get all our hats on I'm sure we could organise something special?

And I promise to leave my friend at home!

 

So who's up for it who's a maybe and who'd go tomorrow if they could?

Date depending it does sound like a good idea I'm away on the first week of August on holiday in Norfolk . Hope to meet up with Ian flatters for a pint

It would be class to do the tall trees. I know round lake vrynwy in Powys there are some tall firs as well.
