as said before.. 'gone are the days of the work horse'.

same with anything these days including tractors.

 

you could chuck logs in the back of an old hilux and not worry about it. try that on a new one and you will see the dents all around the rim of the bed.

 

but we cant keep comparing new trucks to old ones. if you want a new truck to impress customers etc then put up with the con's and enjoy the pro's.

if you want a work truck than find a 2003 d4d hilux or similar.

decent mpg, solid body, that can take some abuse.

 

mark the fourtrak driver :D

Ii've got a Land Cruiser Amazon 80 series , they say it'll pull 3.5 ton , I pull a big ifor williams tipper heaped full of wet hardwood regularly and you would be pushed to know it was there , great machine !

 

Yes and you can pull big trailers away on hills without the fuel system shutting down on emissions.
