Safety tool box/chest what do you use?

I'm looking at safety chests to lock my saws up at night in my garage

Would like something around 60inch long. What do you use? Or any recommendations would be helpful

Budget between 300/500

Would like to keep costs down but want something very strong with good anti theft. I feel like I should put a few more hurdles in front of the thieving scum bags

Dont know where you are in the coutry, but consider one of these, had one very similar on my old pickup. Welded an extra couple of hasps and staples on mine for extra security. Can be bolted to garage floor, and secondhand sell for well under your budget.

I have 2 of those, highly recomended.

 

Mine are inside a shipping container inside an alarmed building behind security gates, it takes me twenty minutes to get to my saws but they are as safe as possible.

Ive got 3 really big site boxes off somebody on ebay. they are really strong i got the whole lot for 150 quid! bargain i had been looking for something for ages. keep your eye on ebay theres always bargains to be had

For that money a 2nd hand gun safe , put on its back and bolted to the floor. they won't get your saw's then. Or get one made from a steel fab company to your own spec.

Just keep an eye out on ebay, lots of them on there, I got my Van vault for about £40, almost new condition - it was misspelt and finished ar an odd time, so I put in a cheeky bid and won!

Also try and check out the provenance of anything you buy.

How about beefing up the garage itself? You'd protect everything then, not just your saws.
