Anyone go out feed the birds in garden

Here is a picture of a long tailed tit, the feeder was hung in front of kitchen window, they came around most days, usually about 6 of them, this picture was taken at the end of last winter, we have moved since, not had long tailed in new garden just normal selection

We feed pretty much all year with any stale bread/cake etc and seem to get a good variety of birds.

 

Husky worked out yesterday that it could reach the bird table so need to do something bit different.

 

Slightly off topic, but been doing bit of topping the back end of the week on a site where there were a pair of Kestrels that were clever enough to follow the tractor and grab anyything that run out of the grss in front of the tractor. Was quite cool to watch.

I feed all year round but have gone overboard with all the snow. Loads of birds with the great spotted pecker being a regular. Have just built an all mod cons feeding station from stools and dustbin lids, its a bit Heath Robinson but keeps the food snow free.......
