battery seperate i would have thought. body only....

 

it would be better if there was a package deal.... saw, charger and x2 batteries

Batteries and saw come apart, if you only buy the body there will be no batteries included ;-)

Think I asked this on the thread introducing the back-handle version: what's the warranty like, and does it cover the battery?

 

I have a wide range of makita li-ion tools and batteries, and when the charger decides the battery is no good it'll refuse to charge it forever more, this is without any previous noticeable issues or drop in power.

When batteries are £145 they'd need to be fully covered under warranty as far as I'm concerned.

they just come with 12 as std.... would you BUY an extra bar 10" ?
