Sorry got a bad point about the quadchip, as said before it eats everything you put to it so I find myself chipping more of the tree than I did with the old tw150 which means the truck fills up quicker so now I need a bigger truck and that lads is as bad as a good point gets!

Good tips that could just save any existing owners some money is make sure no little stones have got flicked into the hopper by you truck on the way to site as the 1st branch will pull them in and could damage your blades.

The only negative I have is the distance of the discharge spout from the back of the truck. On a TW150 it is about 2 ft, on the quadchip it is nearer 8ft. This means instead of 99%+ of the chip making it into the back of the truck there is a liberal spreading all around which leads to an extra 10 minutes at the end of each job with the brush/blower. I am looking to modify the outlet of mine slightly probably by simply using a few feet of 8" pipe wedged on the end to stop the fanning of the chip but other than that it is head and shoulders above the entec (timberwolf) it replaced just before Christmas.

Most greenmech Shutes are a bit of a distance from the tipper. Found that if it turns into a problem to have the chipper side on to the truck so the shut goes into the tipper box.

Sometimes it's easier when the tipper won't fit on the driveway but the chipper will.

It ticks all the boxes, low weight, turntable, compactness, ease of maintenance like changing blades and greasing as well as excellent customer service from the manufacturer

I agree about Greenmech customer service a year old 1928 went down with a major drive train fault, they were there and fixed it next day.

One of my colleague's hired a 160 but I didn't get to play. Do they still use simple keys for the ignition or have they got sensible yet?

It amazes me that my old pug van has a chipped key and I am told that modern cars have become difficult to steal yet a bit of kit with ten times the value can be started with a generic key.
