looked out onto the deck the other night and there was a maasive rat sat there, ive got 4 dogs, one of which is a great rat killer, this one must be very wily, the mighty beano(dalmatian) is not earning his keep:confused1:

 

dont feed him for a couple of days, :biggrin:ther must be food or sorts ther for roland to be there , yr not leaving bird food out are you

On a radio programme last night there was a discussion about how large the rat population was...they used scientific methods to calculate that although humans outnumber rats...there are approximatly ten million rats in britain....7 of which are to be found in the countryside and the remaining 3 million in cities...

I bet rats wonder what they did to deserve such dirty smelly companions to live with. :001_smile: I dislike rats, but with baiting, trapping, shooting and removing sources of food and drink, they move on. They don't like it up em. Good housekeeping outside and in reduces the opportunities for them.

I keep the .410 handy for that situation :sneaky2:

Hey stubby 410 for rats, a bit over the top and expensive for the cartridges, get yourself an old garden gun, remember those, run out of cartridges for mine, smaller than a 410.The cost of poison is a megga rip off.

 

Decent air rifle is a lot cheaper than either and less likely to upset the neighbours. :thumbup1:
