Stupid place to park a land cruiser...

That is who I called to get me out!

The diff locks on both vehicles are temperamental at best with the Land cruiser just not working at all, so as 4wd vehicles they are both lacking somewhat! Stick a trailer on the Land cruiser and it will get stuck as soon as it gets a bit slippy.

HI MONS land rover tippers are the best :thumbup1:jon

:blushing: Sorry, just winds me up - used to get it a fair bit round us when it was flooded, people ignoring road closed signs and often pushing water into peoples houses just to save a detour.

But, it's still a closed road - would you drive through a red traffic light?

Sometimes these road closed signs are put out purely to protect the driver and their vehicle. A flood a regular family car cannot get through, a larger vehicle can with ease.

Win some, lose some

Wish I'd been there to watch the mx5 try to get through it

There's a place called Mersey Island near Colchester and to get to it you have to pass across a long road that is only passable at low tide. It's amazing how many people try to get through at other times and how fast people try to drive through water.

And often they are there to stop people getting stuck and having the emergency services get them out of whatever mysery they are in.

First sprinkling of snow and the pennine passes are closed even though the sensible can still get over.

I was absolutly spitting blood with being forced to detour 20 odd miles by our Roads Service, due to a "tree" down , OK in a bit o a storm.

When I saw it the next day it warnt more than a bush that I could have snicked with the wee 026 and pulled to the side with my towbar.

Jobsworth's huh!

Ps

Der Steyr Puch is factory rated to ford 600mm, with a factory snorkle on the alternator etc. etc.

So say 750mm:001_tt2:

I would be hard to persuade otherwise............regardless of any signage:blushing:.

cheers

M
