i have ordered the alloy gekos from jonesie,

I was all excited about the CF Geckos I ordered until I wore then a few times and they hurt my calves. I sold them and went back to my caddy pads. IMO, the CFG's aren't designed right, with too much of the frame going to the BACK (where you DON'T freaking need it) of the calf and not enough (where it NEEDS to be) going around the front of the calf. If you look at them you can easily see that. Not for me. Plus, I can't imagine how they'll look after a year or so of use. They attract scratches like chainsaws attract thieves.

 

The Caddys are best and the velcro wrap-arounds are second best, IMO.

, i didnt go for the carbon fibre because they arent adjustable.

the second ones you have there look good, i like the way the shaft is held into the top strap, the bashlins get loose and move about digging in.

hopefully have new gekos on wednesday so will let you guys know how it goes.

I stand corrected... I have the velco bashlin wrap arounds no the caddy pads.

Recommend bucks titaniums with velcro had my for over a year no chip or dust problems with the velcro straps up nice and tight. the titanium is hard wearing and very light.

Jon Turnbull talked me into getting the carbon fibre geckos with velcro from Honeys at the arb fair last year. They are one of the best purchases I have ever made. Thing is, I have now gone off climbing trees that I can't spike....

my alloy geckos are still great, but the pads are falling apart. the padding has come off, i re stick them now and then but they just fall off again. can you buy replacement pads. and if so where
