thats a tricky thing to find as most tree surgeons just add it (like every other wood) to the fire pile.

also its not very big so limits what you can do with it, never had any myself as its such an oddity but dont expect it to be much bigger than boxwood sizes...

as for ataining it i would ask every tree surgeon you can find to keep their eyes peeled...

Staghorn Sumac (Rhus typhina) is probably the one that's most popular in the UK, a large shrub or small tree, can be found in a lot of gardens.. they're not often taken down though unless they die off or split out.

The sap when on skin, in some people can be photosensitive and cause rashes and burns (but not often) and as noted the grain is quite nice, a bit larburnamy but not as dark

i just like the grain and think it would make some nice bowls and spoons. so no im not looking for a truck load just a resonable sized log. but a tenner sounds good. is that delivered.:001_tt2::001_tt2:

Sorry I was confused with somuch wood logs :dontknow: If I can identify what it looks like and get some I will gladly send you 10kg next day for £10  What does it look like? You could try Paul Gouldon in Hampshire he has all sorts tucked away. I bought a wood mizer this week been cutting everything up I can get the forks under.
