hello all.

this is my first thread on here and just wanted to say a hallo to all.

i'm going back to college (at the tender age of 25) and i have just been accepted on a ND in forestry and arb'. i'm keen to learn and looking for advice.

i have a passion for the outdoors and love trees (and smaller plants/shrubs of course). i'm hoping that i due time i will be able to emigrate with the skills i'll learn, but thats in the distant future.

anyway, as i said, juts a quick hello to all.

Hi Jim. I'm new here too. Hope you enjoy life as a mature student. Is it a career change? I was a psychi nurse for 10 years before retraining in horticulture.

About

Arbtalk.co.uk is a hub for the arboriculture industry in the UK.
If you're just starting out and you need business, equipment, tech or training support you're in the right place.  If you've done it, made it, got a van load of oily t-shirts and have decided to give something back by sharing your knowledge or wisdom,  then you're welcome too.
If you would like to contribute to making this industry more effective and safe then welcome.
Just like a living tree, it'll always be a work in progress.
Please have a look around, sign up, share and contribute the best you have.

See you inside.
