Some lombardies to do terrible things to.

 

They’re funny bastard trees, slightest bit of wind and your ring piece is doing contortions, but they chip nice and rig nice and cut nice so it all went well.

Dave @5thelement came along to give us a hand and very thoughtfully brought a big sack of Yorkshire teabags from his recent trip back to the UK.

Nice blue sky day,  so took a few pics.

They do look like a fairly straightforward tree to dismantle, given the size of it. Doesn't look like there's much head scratching to be done, which is a good thing for a Friday.

 

I got a mewp earlier in the week to take these gristly ash apart.

It'll be firewood for the owner's neighbour up the lane, but my God, the ivy. I've had enough of it for one week.

Was a poplar day for me earlier this week.  I think it was Wednesday.  I removed the 3 over the lines and my mate did a maple and another poplar.  All chipped onsite and timber left at 3 metres.

 

Pics are my mate up there as I had finished one of the group I was in.

 

It was forecast for sun but the fog never burnt off.
