Crane removal of two compromised Maple trees over a listed building.

Had a internal voice tell me not to tie into one of the leaning stems.  I had an anchor in a more upright, funked stem.

As I got 4/5th of the way through the cut it popped and started to open up.  I noticed it when my feet started to move ;)

A couple of pictures of the pic and the cracked stem.  Some others of the job in general.  All went pretty smoothly considering the state of them and the potential for property damage.

Not sure mate.

It was a Fassi F820.  It was the same crane that Alistair Macgee has posted all over Instagram.  Just without the cutting head.

Nice work mate

Large Beech reduce in the last couple of days, did it 7 years ago because of decay in base and will probably be felled in 2-3 years time. Its a centre piece to the front drive and will be a shame when it has to come down.

Oak reduction from this morning. Was pollarded about 5years ago. Will probably get maintained like this now every 3years or so.

Wouldn't have usually used a cherry picker but had it on hire for the week for another job. Always find it strange doing a reduction from in the basket im to used to being inside the crown on a harness not working from the outside in. Pissed it down all morning so called it a day when we were done.
