There's a lot to be said for burning infected beech and rhododendron rather than chip it and mix it in with someone's mulch....

I work for one bloke who uses every opportunity for a burn. Get the brash going and stack the timber on top with the skid.

 

Can't beat it. Saves him bringing the 12" bandit and grain trailer into the back garden.

Only last week pulled out shrubs with digger and thought I had got to take roots away, Gardener turned up and said he was going to light fire in back garden, guess were roots went, he was a gardener how could light a good fire.

The best bit is sitting round the fire 12 cans in burning your £250 boots kicking in at 10pm.
