the 'todays job' thread

WoodED

Recommended Posts

God if I still had my Valmet it would have saved our backs!! I chipped into the land and there was 3 loads going half a mile up the road so that was good. The journey with the wood was t to bad, 40 mins round trip. I have out about 10 business cards so hopefully will get more jobs out of it. Plent of lowering so was good to keep up the lowering skills. The lads did an awesome job.

Hope you made good coin on that Hodge, that's a lot of work, right there.

Did all right Mark, if I had to do it again I would charge more though. Good crack though, all the lads really stepped up to the plate on this one. Having a couple of beers now!!

Removing a medium size red oak in a tight spot, as usual! Cut to a foot above fence with a slant so water drips off, (customer is always right.) We were done and fully loaded apart from 3 bits of wood by 2pm.

Never ever get to have a crane on jobs. Its so competitive here, that tree was $1700. Another firm put 4k on it. She chose us obviously. If we had a crane in for a day we could do 4 of these..... Anyway

Gotta get the wood down as quick as possible, there was zero drop zone, rigged it down to about 20 foot then sliced it, there was a bush underneath that took some hits but the HO did not give a care. (Neighbors yard took all the material! They were renters and didnt care.)
