So Reynaulds. I think I've started to suffer from it recently. Just the two index fingers. I'm shocked by how painful it is, considering it's just a bit of cold. Ironic really as I've been teasing my mum about it for years, thinking she was just being a wuss. Is it hereditary? Guessing I've got it from her.

Yes I think so. My mother had both carpal tunnels operated on

When I used to commute 25 miles on the cbr6, it got to -12c a few years. My hands were blue and painful when I got there. Heated glove inserts changed that, arriving in relative comfort, could have stayed on the bike all day. I was not going slow either. These are what I used, with some tape to keep them in the glove. Heats the back of the fingers and keeps circulation flowing.

Dont know how well they would last in work gloves, and if they get wet, you feel burning tingly shocks.

They do make gloves with them built in but none are suited to climbing, some might do ok in leather work gloves for ground work.

I did try painting the heater things in rubber paint (tyre security coat, used after puncture repairs) but cant remember if that stopped the shocks.

Who else takes their gloves off, lifts the chipper bonnet and warms them up on the engine during coffee break ?

Video of a Ligier micro-car warming an entire housing estate for Oldie-wonks last Friday.

I could feel the heat through my type A's

Raynaud's and Carpal Tunnel are linked?

I think so, the Raynards  is to do with poor blood supply to the hand and the carpal tunnel compressing the nerve is related to the pain I think I have both.
