Building a wood wall with some conny I stacked (badly) about 3 years ago.

If I stacked it nicely in the first place I might have done myself out of some work.

That’s going to be used as a background for some instagram photos isn’t it. You make me sick.

I must get to the bottom of this. Have asked a few drivers and never got enough convincing enough and similar enough answers to commit it to memory.

I think knucklebooms have a different naming/sizing convention to stickbooms. Possibly what you describe is a 100 tonne metre knuckleboom. I’m sure I’ve read something about stick booms (or maybe even some other type) being measured at 2.3 m (or some other, relatively precise number) out, presumably from the centre of the slew ring. So a 60 tonne stickboom would lift that at 2.3 m out.

If anyone knows surely the drivers does🤔 it’s not exactly a monkey in a grab lorry is it?

I hope not.

Their posh friends may want one, and ask for a price.

Having the heavy from 20 70’ connies already at the bottom of their large garden was a pretty good start.

Some of those lumps are 2’ dia 8’ logs.

Loader-tastic!

Yesterdays job was a bit of a slog in the heat and fighting sap.

Large pine to remove and then another over solar panels and decking.

Rigged and free falled the larger tree and then used that as a rigging point to swing everythin away from house.

No before picture as to busy.

All the logs on the floor were snatched from the larger pine. Had one rodeo moment and a few smoking ropes.

Back this morning to fell the stick and log up for firewood.

Helping a mate out on one of his jobs today.
Removing three 25m conifers, two Corsican pine and a Douglas fir, no rigging, just stripped and topped for felling, customer added an additional small Larch to the spec.

Masses of chipping, ran 15 cubic metres worth off to a Chateau just up the road.

Felled the Douglas between the posts and called it a day as it was still 34 degrees in the shade.

Another day and another sticky Fat Pine.

Drop and leave, home owner is going to clear up.  Yeah good luck with that.

Speed lined a few of the back and side limbs off that were over the uninsulated cables.

Two or three logs dropped and then fell the stick over with the 661.
