Lintels up in position, couple more rows to wall plate level then on with the gable ends.

(Probably of got a bit more done if it weren’t for people ringing every two mins emoji849.png...... emoji6.png)

 

is that your new hen cabin ? then you don,t have to keep em in your van ?,,,

Horrible fir over a line. Not inconsiderable in size.

 

Two things I dislike about them.

 

The branch unions are so ‘bulgy’ you can’t begin to leave a smooth trunk for flipping up and down on.

 

The branches rarely snap off cleanly, no matter how you cut it, leaving it hanging by a strand.

That was 2nd ‘emergent’ survey. Indications are 1 pipistrelle from under the hanging slates at the gable end and lots of noctules foraging above canopy nearby but not roosting within the development site. Thankfully pip is not roosting in an area that presents a stopper for proposed roof alteration works. 

 

Was as nice to sit out for a pair of hours at sunset and listen to the world putting itself to bed.

That was 2nd ‘emergent’ survey. Indications are 1 pipistrelle from under the hanging skates at the gable end and lots of noctules foraging above canopy nearby but not roosting within the development site. Thankfully pip is not roosting in an area that presents a stopper for proposed roof alteration works.

You clearly sound as though you know your stuff. Without sounding bad, theyre just ‘bats’ to me kev, ace to watch on a night though like you say, you got any cctv type vids or pics of em?
