60 odd meters with a dead top

This is a rather hastily edited vid of removing the dead top of a Tingle tree over an access rd to a popular tourist destination in southwest Australia. We pruned about 15 of these trees on the last trip ranging from 50 to about 65m tall.

 

The top 1/2 to a 1/3 of the trees are dead owing to a massive bushfire 50 years ago. Makes for a bit of puckering at times when your spikes punch through into nothing :001_tongue:

 

The only hazards below are the road and the other vegetation - mostly the lower branches of the tree being worked on are to be preserved.

 

Sorry no tunes, just grunting and groaning.
