Im looking at buying my 1st chipper in the next month or so but cant decide between the two! Ive read the previous threads about both & used a timberwolf 150 & am in the process of sorting a demo for the quad chip. I would like to know what other peoples experiences/thoughts are, good & bad points, parts & servicing including resale value?? Thanks in advance!

Quad Chip for me.

You can't really compare the two though, the TW is more comparable to the new GM150.

QC has turntable and folding spout, both of which are useful for me.

Servicing GM is easy, plus you dont have to replace bearings every 300 hours.

Never needed any parts, other than a spring and I got that under warranty, resale value is a bit unknown as there are only a handful of Quad Chips been sold secondhand.

I got my quadchip in Feb and am well chuffed with it, I will never buy a TW there old basic and built down to a price, just my opinion though.

I havbe 2 GM machines and have never had any problems apart the usual one with any machine, batterys etc.

having had a timberwolf for the last 3 years, and having just bought a quadchip id say the quadchip is far superior. it feels like a machine bigger than 6 inches and is rediculously easy to maintain. i put 2 sets of bearings in my timberwolf in 3 years.
