Hope you got good price for it, people keep telling me they're getting more valuable by the month but prices don't seem to have changed hugely in the last couple of years.

I think it was 'reasonable' rather than 'good.'

Probably could have pushed for more but had a fish on the line who'd agreed price and travelled from Yorkshire to Cornwall to buy it - not to see it, but to buy it!

The faff of seemingly endless, increasingly inane questions and the assumption that the price listed is a starting point for negotiations ground me down to a point where I considered withdrawing it.

Example stupid question - Pictures posted clearly showed sign writing and phone number.... First question - what's your number!

Offered complete with Front runner roof rack for an extra £300. Bloke said "I'm not paying £300 for a roof rack." So I took it off. That night he phoned again and said he couldn't believe the price of roof racks and would I take any less for it.

Answer - no, I've taken it off and it's available separately for £550!

Price I wanted was after service, MoT and some works that I had booked in. He quibbled 1k on price so he got it ex MoT & service (due end this month), roof rack & ladder, dog guard, spare wheel cover, front middle and rear mats all removed. I'm sure he's happy though since he got his price adjustment! Quick sale saved me <£1500 on service & associated works so no skin off my nose. Just can't help some people!

It served me well but I was sad to see it go. I won't miss the cramped driving position, the leaking roof, the noise, the dreadful turning circle.... And I've got a new vehicle, 5 year warranty hassle free (hopefully) for the next few years...

PS - the irony is, for my birthday (end August), the brother in law bought me a 12 month LRO magazine subscription - great! So if the prices really are rising (and whilst I've heard plenty saying it, I haven't seen it from a buyers perspective) I'll have to watch as the values rise over the next 12 months. Unless anyone wants the subscription??
