Hello all , purchased the said item above last week and i just got a chance there to try it out . Well imo it is unfit for purpose as a work positioning lanyard . The distel will not bite the lanyard .. it does EVENTUALLY and only when the lanyard is near horizontal . It is actually dangerous imo .

It does say in the small print in the manual only to be used at WAIST HEIGHT ! Are they for real ?? Cant remember any vendors pointing this out ?

Its a costly piece of CARP !! Dont buy one at all costs :thumbdown:

can i suggest you go & practice some more & get to know the set up ,then come back to us wi some positive fdbk

I've been using one for three months now and can't fault it, it does slip sometimes but a quick jerk makes it bite. It's quick and easy to use and the thimble attachment allows greater anchorage and freedom. Hoping they bring out a longer version.

Like any bit of new gear have a good muck around with it , sort out what's purpose it will play in your overall setup. straight out of the package and up the tree, maybe not the go. A full understanding of your gear is all apart of a complete climbing arborist.
