Hi

Recently did a small back garden, and the nice lady I did it for said she was looking at spending a grand getting her guttering sorted - this seemed a huge figure for a small semi house.

Has anyone done this - and is it easy or something that could be ballsed up easily? And is it hard to learn, and would one be charging around the same labour rates as gardening?

Get asked if I can clean then out, as I've got a ladder in the garden. Only time I've fitted gutters is when I hit one years ago a split a 3.6 metre bit right down the middle.

What are fascias and soffits?

Fascia's are what the guttering is fastened to, soffit is the underneath part that you can see from the ground.

If you are going to do the replacing of guttering, you need roughly an inch fall per 3.6 mtr length. Brackets are roughly every 800mm.
